Easyband 2.0 Bryan Majerle's variant
Easyband brings a change in the base
used for development from Angband 2.9.1 to GSN2band 1.0,
a rather steep increase in the version number, and yet more changes to
make it even easier. Please note that savefiles from version 1.0 are
not compatible.

Development section
I've reorganized Thangorodrim a bit and created a
new section with information
for Angband developers. The artwork
for the new section has been created by "Kierstal".
I hope we'll soon see more of her images on Thangorodrim!

Angband 2.9.2 beta
I've prepared a "source code only"
beta version of Angband 2.9.2
for testing. The main purpose of this beta-test is to check if the
automake/autoconf support is working acceptable. But of course
bug-reports and comments to other parts
are welcome too.
My current plan is to release the official Angband 2.9.2 in about two weeks.
So if you have bugfixes, documentation updates, or improved main-*.c files
sitting on your desk, then hurry up and send them my way or they won't be in
2.9.2.
EyAngband update
The author of EyAngband, Eytan Zweig,
decided to release version 0.2.2 a bit earlier than he originally intended
because of two bugs which caused some items (especially artifacts) to be
generated with incorrect abilities, and messed up the behavior of weapons
with special powers (such as swords of sharpness).
Unfortunately savefiles of older versions are incompatible to the new
version, so you'll have to start a new character if you want to get
the new features as the "easy" mode, the new handling for critical hits,
and small dungeon levels. A detailed change-list as well as downloads and
many other interesting things can be found at the
EyAngband homepage.

Easy Angband 1.0 Bryan Majerle created a new
Angband variant for everybody who thinks that Angband is too hard.
Easyband increases the players hitpoints,
damage done by some weapons, frequency of critical hits and pseudo id,
reduces the experience required to reach the next level and adds
two new races.

The Angband Newbie Guide
Chris Weisiger's Newbie Guide for Angband
has moved from the ZAngband homepage
to Thangorodrim. Please update your links and bookmarks accordingly.

Angband Edit/Help file patch Jonathan Ellis
created a new version of his Edit+Help patch for Angband 2.9.1.
It changes many monsters, objects, ego items, artifacts, and vaults as
well as adding new ones and updates the help files. I plan to include
this patch in one of the next official Angband releases and would
welcome comments about it.

Gumband 2.1.2a Joseph William Dixon's
variant of ZAngband 2.1.1, Gumband,
has been updated with new monsters, objects, and a new trap type.
The source code and a DOS version are available for download.
For the complete list of changes please take a look at my
Gumband page.
EyAngband 0.2.1 Eytan Zweig released a new
EyAngband version.
It adds a new race, an object browser, many small modifications, and
graphics support. A detailed change-list as well as downloads and
many other interesting things can be found at the
EyAngband homepage.
DrAngband 2.9.7
The new DrAngband maintainer,
Dr. Andrew White, released
version 2.9.7 as source code, DOS, and Windows version.
Changes include bugfixes, some game-balance changes, and
that dragon breath attacks are now arcs instead of balls.
