• Angband/64 beta 5 release 2
  Jurriaan Kalkman released a new version of his variant (J)Angband/64. The changes in the new version are:
  • No more endless log-files in dos/win32.
  • No more overwriting of home inventory.
  • Lots of bugs in dungeon generation/lighting fixed.
  • Added 'inner' vaults, interesting pillars in all kinds of rooms.
  • Added maze levels.
  • Fixed a very embarassing bug with dropping staffs in home.
• KAmband 1.8c source
  Tim Baker released the source code of KAmband 1.8c.

• DrAngband 2.9.5
  The DrAngband maintainer Tom Morton uploaded the source code and the DOS version of version 2.9.5. The new version now includes support for Andrew P. White's DrAngband Borg (but not the Borg itself) as well as the following changes:
  • New sling ammo: Silver Shots. They do extra damage to evil creatures.
  • _REALLY_ nasty escorts for Sauron and Morgoth!
  • Oangband throwing and well-balanced items.
  • Dragon weapons tweaked (again).
  • (Infinite) Random artifacts.
  • Fixed zero-divide bug caused by curse weapon scrolls.
  • Mage 'striking' spell now kicks monsters back 2 tiles.
  • Angband 2.8.5 stat buying method for character creation.
• Amiga ports
  Bablos already compiled the new DrAngband version as well as KAmband 1.8b for the Amiga.
• Borgband update
  Dennis van Es released a new version of BorgBand.
• Angband music
  I've updated my Angband music page with several new recommendations. The most interesting is probably Patrice Deceuninck since he offers his music for free in mp3 format.

• KAmband 1.8c
  Tim Baker released a bugfixed version of KAmband. At the moment only the Windows version is available since Tim has some trouble with the export.andrew.cmu.edu FTP server. Feel free to take a look at the list of changes.
• Angband Acronyms
  I have prepared a list of acronyms used in rec.games.roguelike.angband.

• CthAngband 4.0.0 ports
  Bablos compiled the new version of CthAngband for the Amiga and Prfnoff compiled it for the PPC and 68020+ Macs.
• Borg updates
  Dennis van Es released a new version of BorgBand and Andrew White continued development of the Angband and DrAngband Borgs.

• CthAngband 4.0.0
  Dean Anderson finally released a new version of his variant CthAngband. The new version introduces a skill system, player ghosts and various other interesting features.
• KAmband revived
  After over one year without any signs from the original author, Ivan Tkatchev's variant KAmband has been revived by Tim Baker. The new version 1.8b introduces various user-interface improvements.
• OAngband Mac port
  Darin Takemoto compiled the Mac (68020+) version of OAngband 0.4.1.
• Borgband update
  Dennis van Es fixed several bugs and improved the AI a bit. The results of his work can be found at his BorgBand page.

• GSNband 2.11
  The recent 2.1 release of GSNband had some bugs, so Gwidon S. Naskrent released version 2.11. You can download the source code and the DOS version.
• GSNband for Mac
  Gob compiled the slightly older GSNband 2.1 for PPC and 68k Macs.
• The Borg assimilate DrAngband
  Andrew White modified the automatic player to work with DrAngband. The source code is available and resistance is futile.
