• Ingband 0.2.0 for DOS and Windows
  I've compiled Robert Shiells' Ingband 0.2.0 for DOS and Windows. Both versions come with the usual bell and whistles like 8x8 tiles, Adam Bolt's 16x16 tiles, sound, extra information windows ...

• ZAngband 2.2.4
  A new version of ZAngband is now available as: source code, DOS version, and Windows version. The main part of the changes is a first step to a general rebalancing of the game.
• GWAngband 2.8.3v2 for DOS and Windows
  I've compiled Greg Wooledge's GWAngband 2.8.3v2 for DOS and Windows. Both versions come with the usual bell and whistles like 8x8 tiles, Adam Bolt's 16x16 tiles, sound, extra information windows ... The RNG-seed bug when loading a dead character is fixed as well.

• Amiga ports
  Bablos compiled CthAngband 3.1.0, GSNband 1.2, GWAngband 2.8.3v2, Ingband 0.2.0, Kangband 2.8.3jp1, and OAngband 0.4.0b for the Amiga. Seems like somebody had too much free time. ;-)
• Tk versions update
  Tim Baker released new versions of AngbandTk, ZAngbandTk, and KAngbandTk.

• (J)Angband/64
  Even before I could announce version beta 4 release 4 of Jurriaan Kalkman's variant (J)Angband/64, version beta 4 release 5 is already available. Seems like I'm getting old and slow. ;-)
• Mac ports
  Prfnoff compiled Ingband 0.2.0 and Darin Takemoto compiled OAngband 0.4.0 for the Mac.
• OAngbandTk
  Tim Baker created the new Tk version of OAngband 0.4.0.

• Angband Savefile Competition
  A new round has started, so download Giora, the High-Elf Mage and try to get rich. This round uses GWAngband 2.8.3v1 and is open till 7pm GMT, Tuesday the 18th of May. And as always, take a look at the rules first!

• GWAngband 2.8.3v2
  The new version of Greg Wooledge's GWAngband is still in alpha phase, and mainly targetted at developers to get hidden bugs squashed. One of the new features is a new Random Number Generator, so be prepared to sacrifice your characters to a new god. ;-)
• Ingband 0.2.0
  And if you have enough of getting killed by Greg's "RNGod of wrath" then try Robert Shiells' Ironman Angband. It is designed to make Angband even harder than it is currently!
• GSNband 1.2
  And if that is still not enough then Gwidon S. Naskrent has GSNband 1.2 for you!

• CthAngband 3.1.0
  "Bad timing" of variant releases is following the competion. First my release of ZAngband 2.2.3d while a ZAngband competition round was running, and now Dean Anderson's release of a new CthAngband version. So if you are not playing in the competition (where version 3.0.1 is required - see below), you should take a look at the CthAngband Page and get the new version.

• New competition round
  A new round of the savefile competition has started. This time the goal is to get as much experience points as possible in Cthangband 3.0.1.
