ZAngband 2.1.1 beta 1
I have uploaded a BETA version of the sources for public testing. This is for
testing: anybody with a compiler is welcome to download it and test it, and
PLEASE send me reports of any bugs/weirdness you find in it. Please do NOT make
your compilations publicly available yet!
New features/bugfixes:
Updated Adam Bolt's terrain tiles.
Mindcrafter powers are correctly displayed in the spell-list window and don't
crash the game anymore.
Fixed a bug in the random activations of the mutations, the effects appear
less often now.
The main-win.c file is now ready for compiling with Adam Bolt's new tiles.
Just define "USE_AB_TILES" and compile it. The windows version
also supports transparency and the "double-step bug" is fixed.
Added a sound-event for the "Hitpoint Warning".
Pets will no longer pick up/destroy items.
Implemented Greg Harvey's patch that adds the macro code from 2.8.3.
Added Heino Vander Sanden's QAngband quest code with big help from
Dean Anderson.
ZAngbandTk for Windows beta version
Tim Baker compiled a very nice
windows version of ZAngband 2.1.0c
with a new interface, Adam Bolt's tiles, and sounds.
KAngband 2.8.2f Ken Wigle fixed some bugs in KAngband
and released the new source code and the compiled DOS version.

DOS KAmband 1.1
Many people requested a compiled DOS version with graphics, windows,
sound, music, and Adam Bolt's new Angband tiles.
So here it is.
ZAngband progress
I'm making progress with ZAngband, here are the last changes:
Pets will no longer pick up/destroy items. I'm now lowering the failure
rates for Trump magic.
Implemented Greg Harvey's patch that adds the macro code from 2.8.3.
Enabled the use of Artifact Creation scrolls on armour and weapons.

ZAngband 2.1.1 is almost ready!
2.1.1 should be the next stable official release and the base for future
enhancements.
I've already implemented the following features and bugfixes :
Updated Adam Bolt's terrain tiles.
The "eXchange weapon" function works now correctly.
Mindcrafter powers are correctly displayed in the spell-list window and don't
crash the game anymore.
The speed-bonus of Klackons and Sprites is now added to the Monks extra speed.
Fixed a bug in the random activations of the mutations, the bad effects appear
less often now.
The main-win.c file is now ready for compiling with Adam Bolt's new tiles.
I've also implemented support for the transparency effects.
Added a sound-event for the Hitpoint Warning.
KAngband 2.8.2e:Ken Wigle released the
source code and the DOS version
of KAngband 2.8.2e. The new version has a new Druid
class, a completely new spell system and plots (sets of quests).

New News design: I've changed the design of my
News page (as you probably noticed).
Ideas! I've got tons of e-mails with new ideas for (Z)Angband.
Thanks to everyone! I'll try to put them on my page and and add some of them
to ZAngband (if I have time).
ZAngband bugfix. Greg Harvey and Benny Hofmann reported a problem with
compiling ZAngband if USE_AB_TILES is not defined. I've fixed the
problem and uploaded the correct source code.
June, 6th 1998
ZAngband 2.1.0e is available. It fixes some
bugs with the new bookstore and compiling main.c on Unix/Linux machines.
This is just an bugfix release, the new features I'm currently adding are
still in beta-testing and not yet included.

ZAngband ideas/suggestions area created.
New "main.c" file for UNIX/Linux versions
of ZAngband added. This fixes the error messages while compiling.
